Patients suffering from Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and related neurodegenerative conditions often experience isolation and lack of support. The team at Defeat MSA needed a secure, easy-to-use, and globally accessible video support platform to bring together patients and caregivers in a moderated setting.

The Opportunity

Defeat MSA USA, a leading charity, envisioned a first-of-its-kind support platform where:

Our Solution

We collaborated closely with the charity’s leadership to design a simple yet powerful web and mobile experience. Prioritizing accessibility, we crafted limited-option screens, oversized buttons, and intuitive workflows to serve patients with limited mobility. Integration with TokBox’s OpenTok API enabled secure, scalable, live video and chat functionality with moderator controls. A backend admin panel empowered Defeat MSA to manage regions, sessions, users, and volunteers efficiently
