Is Computer Vision enough to automate retail?

No. Computer Vision can detect products, customer movement, and shelf conditions, but it cannot manage the entire retail workflow on its own. Effective retail automation also requires inventory management, payment orchestration, business rules, fraud prevention, and operational decision-making. Computer Vision is an important input—not the complete solution.
